With the opening of the new cycle-pedestrian underpass at Bergamo station, an important infrastructure is now in service, to which S.I.F.EL. S.p.A. has contributed with its technological systems.
Inaugurated last April 15, the work will directly improve the connection between the two parts of the city and the accessibility of the entire railway system: our team has installed the lighting, CCTV and public address systems, helping to make the space safe, user-friendly and fully integrated into the station’s everyday operations.
The underpass is part of the broader project to reorganize and develop Bergamo station and the railway junction, which includes numerous activities on the line, electric traction and signaling.
We would like to thank Davide Timossi, Carlo Rosati, Francesco D’Alessio, Nicolas Scardocchia, Gaetano Giuliano and Massimiliano Lo Presti for the intense work on the site: the new infrastructure, in addition to meeting current needs, is already set up for the station’s future configurations, with access to the platforms via stairs and elevators.
