The inauguration of the Libertà stop marks an important milestone in completing Palermo’s ring railway, an infrastructure of strategic importance for urban mobility in the Sicilian capital.

S.I.F.EL. is proud to have successfully taken part in the works, actively meeting the standards required by the project: we can only congratulate all the professionals who worked with immense commitment and determination to ensure the stop opened on schedule, overcoming the considerable technical challenges imposed by the underground environment and the strict safety regulations.

In just two and a half months, our teams have successfully completed the installation of the technological systems, which include the medium-voltage to low-voltage transformation cabin, the mechanical systems (smoke extraction, fire-fighting water system, fire detection, gas-based fire extinguishing, anti-intrusion and access control), air conditioning and secondary extraction, as well as electrical traction and earthing.

So a huge thank you, therefore, to Salvatore Pirri, Fabrizio Quinto, Mauro Popolla, Carlo Rosati, Francesco D’Alessio, David Nicosia, Onofrio Di Maio, Andrea Allegretti and Enrico Di Manno for the LMF team; to Salvatore Parisi, Salvatore Campanella, Manuel Aurilio, Santo Vivirito, Daniele Barbagallo, Nino Crivello, Calogero Vizzari for the TE team; to Lorena Capra, Gisèle Lefebvre, Elisa Bogliolo, Nicole Minetti for the procurement office; to Salvatore Benanti, Claudio Stettini and the good Secco for the technical office; to Gabriele Macrì, Maria Bottalla and Michele Cappello for the administration, the warehouse and site assistance.

Their daily commitment, team spirit, and strong sense of responsibility made it possible to carry out an ambitious project for the city of Palermo, confirming S.I.F.EL. once again as one of the leading companies in railway technology.
